Sales Advisor โ€“ Allegiance Reports to: SVP, Client Services

Join Allegiance as a Sales Advisor, where you will shape competitive sales strategies and help new and existing customers understand the value of Allegiance products and services. In this role, you will bring direct sales expertise, strategic proposal leadership, and strong broker and customer partnership to move opportunities from early planning through finalist presentations and implementation support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction on assigned new-business opportunities, guiding internal partners through proposal development and sales positioning.
  • Partner with Presale and RFP teams to develop compelling bids, proposals, presentations, and customer solutions.
  • Support customers, brokers, and internal teams in gathering the information needed to evaluate and place new or renewal business.
  • Serve as a trusted resource on Allegiance products and services, resolving questions and supporting a strong customer experience.
  • Lead capability presentations, finalist meetings, broker training sessions, and customer discussions that clearly communicate organizational strengths.
  • Analyze quoting activity and sales strategies through reports, charts, and data insights that support decision-making.
  • Coordinate cross-functional follow-up throughout the sales process and provide leadership visibility into opportunities and projected membership.
  • Travel to prospective customer sites for finalist meetings and support implementation activities when needed.
  • Respond to leadership reporting requests and contribute to broader sales initiatives requiring enterprise business understanding.
  • Model professional, respectful, and customer-focused communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in group health insurance, employee benefits, direct sales, or a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of self-funding, benefit plans, and insurance products.
  • Excellent oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information, solve problems, exercise sound judgment, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related business applications.
  • Ability to interpret benefit summaries, insurance documents, regulations, and claims-related information.
  • Ability to travel for customer finalist meetings and implementation support as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Healthcare, or a related field (preferred, not required).
  • Experience working with brokers, group customers, proposal development, or RFP processes.
  • Experience preparing sales analytics, forecasting reports, charts, and executive-ready presentations.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and claims-processing systems.
  • If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 99,200 - 165,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
