Job description

Vista Brewing is seeking a full-time hospitality professional to join our leadership team and uphold Vista’s company values of Integrity, Intelligence and Inspiration and inspire a guest-first mentality. Must love craft beer and restaurant operations!

TheGeneral Managerwill oversee daily operations of our Driftwood Tasting Room and Restaurant. You will be accountable for all aspects of the guest experience, including Beer Garden food & beverage service and execution of Private Events. You will lead a team environment which cultivates Vista’s ethos and trains rising hospitality talent.

In this role, you will work directly with:

  • the Front of House Managers & Team to uphold service standards, streamline processes and create a cohesive and dynamic team focused on guest experiences.
  • the Head Brewer to learn about Vista’s award-winning beers and share this knowledge with your team and guests.
  • the Head Chef to understand and convey Vista’s culinary program to guests during service.
  • the Private Events & Clubs Managersto execute world-class private event experiences and create meaningful memories for each of our guests and club members.
Qualifications we are looking for in this role include:
  • Five to seven years’ experience in a GM or leadership role in a high-volume restaurant operation. Desired, but not required, if you have experience in the craft brewing industry or at a craft beer-focused restaurant.
  • The highest level of professionalism, enthusiasm, positivity, and integrity
  • A warm and welcoming hospitality-focused mentality
  • A passion for hospitality, craft beer, wine, and local food
  • A proven track record of building & training teams and maintaining positive team morale
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Operations management approach grounded in data and analysis (spreadsheets are a must)
  • Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification. Vista will sponsor you to attain this within your first 90 days.
  • TABC and Food Handler certified
  • This is a Wednesday – Sunday role. Requires ability to work private events on other days as needed, as well as weekends and holidays as needed
