About the job
Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Our products need to handle information at massive scale, and extend well beyond web search. We're looking for engineers who bring fresh ideas from all areas, including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design and mobile; the list goes on and is growing every day. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
We are a part of the DevAI team and our mission is to accelerate Google transformation into an AI-native company by using Antigravity as a well-lit path for agentic development and making project execution agent-friendly.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you are the primary technical bridge between Google well-lit-path AI infrastructure/agents and the specific product teams within Google. We partner directly with Google Product Areas (PAs) to identify, build, and elevate AI capabilities. Using our robust Antigravity portfolio-including Jetski, Marina, Cider with AGY, AGY CLI, AGY Hub, etc.). We turn strategic goals into high-impact reality. We solve systemic patterns at the intersection of product needs and executive strategy to yield reusable agentic solutions that scale across the entire company.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) 20% bonus target equity benefits

Responsibilities
  • Partner with product area leadership to decompose high-level business ambitions into scalable technical blueprints.
  • Lead the design and implementation of autonomous, agentic workflows to solve the most complex "non-linear" product area challenges.
  • Be responsible for delivering skills, sub-agents, MCP servers, connectors, agentic wrappers, and safety guardrails required to move agents from experimental pilots to production-grade scalability and reliability.
  • Serve as a core technical stakeholder for the global Antigravity product team.
  • Codify repeatable deployment patterns and drive insights to Product and Engineering. Identify high-value agents, skills, connectors or guardrails built in isolation and re-engineer them as scalable, multi-product area capabilities.
