Job description

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a remote Senior CICS System Programmer for a large data center environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience working with CICS infrastructure and applications as well as leading technical work efforts. 
The Sr CICS System Programmer will be responsible for the daily operations and security of the CICS subsystems within the Mainframe environment as well as supporting and leading modernization and special projects.
Duties:
  • Designing, integrating, implementing, and managing the operation of large-scale, complex CICS environments with numerous regions across multiple LPAR mainframe systems
  • Manage the installation, configurations, and upgrades required for CICS subsystems in order to meet business and compliance requirements. 
  • Conduct system testing and CISC performance tuning to reduce bottlenecks and performance issues. 
  • Develop automation using REXX
  • Support the integration of applications and utilities into the system, including the support of RACF. 
  • Develop CICS continuity plans and support disaster recovery efforts. 
  • Create system documentation and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • In-depth experience working with CICS subsystems 
  • Hands-on experience with REXX for automation 
  • Knowledge and work with RACF for system security
