Job description

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator with experience supporting transmission line construction. This role requires a safety-driven professional who can operate a variety of specialized equipment in challenging field environments. If you take pride in precision, teamwork, and high-quality work, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment to support transmission line installation, maintenance, and construction.
  • Safely run puller/tensioner equipment (bundled experience preferred).
  • Operate reach trucks, loaders, and skid steers for material handling and site preparation.
  • Utilize NCCO-certified hydraulic swing cab cranes for lifting operations (TLL).
  • Assist with rigging, load handling, and ground operations as needed.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Follow all safety protocols, job briefings, and utility standards.
  • Work effectively with foremen, linemen, and construction crews in fast-paced field conditions.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment in utility or transmission environments.
  • Proficiency with: * Puller/Tensioner (Bundled Preferred) * Reach Truck * Loader * Skid Steer * NCCO Hydraulic Swing Cab.
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety and equipment best practices.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying terrain and weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CDL-A (Preferred).
  • Prior transmission, distribution, or utility construction experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
