Job description

General Description
Responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the Church and School campus and surroundings especially as it pertains to major projects and tasks.
Essential Job Functions
Responsible for assisting in all construction and modification projects that do not require external contractor involvement.
Responsible for assisting in maintaining full functional use of all electrical and mechanical needs for the church and school.
Responsible for collaborating with the facilities department to ensure timely response and closure of facilities work requests.
Responsible for bringing to the attention of the Facilities and Construction Director any facility issues that may affect the physical safety and well-being of any person on any campus.
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
Assist in the install of ventilation, refrigeration, Plumbing, Electrical and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs when needed.
Perform manual repairs on both campuses as necessary.
Monitor vendors and conduct general campus upkeep procedures.
Must have own tools.
Must be clean, professional, and punctual.
Other related duties as assigned. Some weekends and occasional evenings as required

Requirements
Education and Experience
โ€ข This position requires a working knowledge of Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical maintenance, Drywall, Painting, and the use of specialized tools to accomplish such.
โ€ข High School diploma or GED required or equivalent (preferred)
โ€ข 1-2 years maintenance experience working in the trades preferred
โ€ข Air conditioning certification preferred
โ€ข Driver's license preferred
Working Conditions
โ€ข Lifting up to 50 lbs
โ€ข Sitting, kneeling or standing for long periods of time
โ€ข Climbing up and down stairs or Ladders
โ€ข Working at heights of up to 30ft
โ€ข Work in tight spaces
โ€ข Lifting up to 20 lbs over head
โ€ข Work on rooftops
โ€ข Work with mechanical lifts (scissor lift, Boom, Forklift)
