Job description

Activities Assistant
Maple Crest Health Center in Omaha is hiring an Activities Assistant. Starting pay is $20.00/hour, with credit given for prior experience. This is a full-time role, Monday through Friday, plus one Saturday shift a month.
What you'll do:
  • Help plan and lead daily recreational, social, and wellness programs for residents, working alongside the Director of Activities
  • Encourage residents to join activities that fit their cognitive, physical, and emotional needs
  • Escort residents to appointments, outings, church services, and special events
  • Keep activity calendars, bulletin boards, and supplies organized and current
  • Build relationships with residents and families, and bring their interests into activity planning
  • Watch for changes in resident participation or wellbeing and report them to the Director of Activities or nursing staff
  • Follow safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards

What you'll need:
Required:
  • Active Nebraska CNA license
  • At least 18 years old
  • Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to document care, coordinate with the care team, and communicate with residents and families

Preferred:
  • Experience working with older adults
  • Basic computer skills
