Master’s Level Mental Health Therapist, Counselor or Social Worker (Department of Juvenile Justice Program)

Impactful Client Care Responsibilities:

  • Support at-risk youth aged 11-21 through our partnerships with the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ).

  • Provide in-home, community-based therapeutic services to clients.

  • Deliver evidence-based practices such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing (MI) for mental health and substance use counseling.

  • Conduct weekly individual and family therapy sessions, ensuring high-quality care.

  • Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to client needs.

  • Maintain compliance with Medicaid, DJJ contracts, and Chrysalis Health policies.

  • Utilize community resources for supportive services and discharge planning.

  • Effectively engage with culturally diverse groups experiencing psychiatric, substance use, or medical challenges.

  • Demonstrate flexibility by accommodating evening and weekend client schedules.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Must reside within the State of Florida

  • Education: Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or related field.

  • Florida Mental Health Registered Interns Preferred

  • At least one year of counseling experience in mental health and/or substance use.

  • A valid Florida driver’s license with proof of insurance and a clean driving record.

  • Organizational and Time allocation skill abilities, and to flex hours to meet client scheduling needs, and flexibility to provide services in client homes, schools, and other community settings.

  • Ability to utilize self-care techniques to best manage to achieve OPTimal work life balance

  • Compassionate, engaging, and have a strong desire to help others.

  • Ability to document therapy services in electronic medical records (EMR) platform.

  • Spanish speaking preferred, not required.
