Job description

Occupational Therapist (OTR) - Full Time Opportunity at Christopher House

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our clinical team at Christopher House, a 150-bed Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center located at the top of Belmont Hill in Worcester, Massachusetts. As an Occupational Therapist at Christopher House, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary care team to provide essential therapy services to our patients and residents.

About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess residents' current ADL status, cognition, self-feeding skills, and develop comprehensive plans of care. You will also help residents participate in tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance their performance, communicate resident progress or problems to the supervisor and other team members, and document resident care according to Rehabilitation, regulatory, licensing, and requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Assess residents' current ADL status, cognition, self-feeding skills, and develop comprehensive plans of care
• Help residents participate in tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance their performance
• Communicate resident progress or problems to the supervisor and other team members
• Document resident care according to Rehabilitation, regulatory, licensing, and requirements
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition

Requirements:

• Current MA State Licensure
• Bachelor's Degree (Minimum)
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
