Christian Family Solutions is a faith-based, religious organization committed to our mission, healing and helping people in need through the ministry of Jesus Christ. As more and more people seek help with difficult issues, we want to be the counseling resource they turn to for hope, healing, and peace.
Do you enjoy making a meaningful difference the lives of children? Join our team as a full-time Mental Health Support Specialist to provide services within our STRONG program. STRONG stands for Successfully Treating and Reaching Our Next Generation. We chose this name because it expresses the values and mission of our program and organization. The STRONG program recognizes the unique value of each child and acknowledges that each child deserves a chance at a brighter future. We are seeking applicants who are willing to provide mental services within a positive, Christian work environment.

This is a full-time role with general hours of 7:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Employees in this role are eligible for the Christian Family Solutions full benefits package, which includes:

What you will be doing

The Mental Health Support Specialist facilitates psycho-educational skills groups for children and adolescents admitted into our program. You will also provide general client care, de-escalation services, and support the clinical services team. We aim to foster a positive and nurturing environment aligned with our Christian values.


Quality mental health delivered with integrity is the first commitment we make to our clients. An additional commitment we make is to offer the option of Christian faith principles integrated with a client's treatment, as needed and desired by the client. Research has proven that such faith-integrated treatment is effective and has longer lasting impact. It is an approach we are committed to delivering, and we train our staff to provide it. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, and preferably in a field related to mental health.
  • Previous experience working with children and/or adolescents with severe emotional/behavioral disorders (minimum of 1 year required).
  • Strong desire for youth mental health advocacy.
  • Active member of a WELS or ELS or confessional Lutheran church preferred. Willingness to support and uphold the mission of Christian Family Solutions in the clinical setting required.
  • Team player with effective written and verbal communication skills to lead groups and work alongside the STRONG treatment team.
  • Competency in cross- or multi-cultural settings required.
  • CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) certified after hire.
