Job Title: Digital Media & AV Specialist Location: Winston Salem Christian School, Winston-Salem, NC Position Type: Full-Time (10 Month Teacher Position + 2 weeks; $32,000) Start Date: August 1, 2025

Overview:

Winston Salem Christian School is seeking a dynamic and creative individual to serve as our Digital Media, AV Specialist, and IT support. This full-time position combines classroom instruction with media production and school-wide AV support. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Christian education, storytelling, technology, and equipping students with real-world digital skills.

Primary Responsibilities:

Teaching (High School Video Production - 2 Classes)

Instruct two high school video production/media courses focused on content creation, editing, and broadcasting.

Develop a Christ-centered, project-based curriculum that integrates media literacy, videography, and digital communication.

Mentor students in hands-on video and media projects, including school events, chapel services, and promotional content.

Audio-Visual (AV) Coordination

Manage AV needs for school events including chapel, assemblies, theater productions, and graduation.

Maintain and operate audio, video, lighting, and livestream equipment across campus.

Train and support student AV teams to foster student leadership in technical roles.

Digital Footprint & Media Development

Assist in building and expanding the school's digital presence through video content, social media, and website enhancements.

Oversee live broadcast for select events on campus; developing the school's youtube account.

Collaborate with the administrative team to produce compelling visual content that promotes the school's mission and culture.

Lead student involvement in content creation to highlight student life, athletics, and academic excellence.

Support Director of IT with help desk tasks

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Education, or related field (Master's preferred).

Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and basic graphic design tools.
