Job description


Teach a balanced load of educational lessons as assigned by room teacher.
Reports to: Principal
Hours: As needed
All teachers must agree to support all sections of the ECS Declaration of Faith, and must whole-heartedly affirm sections 1-5, 8-13, 21-23.
Applicants will be asked to affirm both the ECS Declaration of Faith and the ECS Standards of Conduct for employees
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teach regularly scheduled classes as assigned on the master schedule.
  • Be informed as to the academic, spiritual, and social development of each of their students.
  • Employ those instructional aids, methods, and materials that will provide for creative and effective teaching including the consistent and effective use of technology.
  • Ensure that adequate preparations have been made to accomplish objectives and meet the standards established for the classes assigned.
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management that fosters a learning environment for all students and adheres to the school's policies and procedures.
  • Follow the school's protocol for classroom discipline.
  • Speak favorably of and publicly support the school, faculty, and school leadership.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the school's administration.

Requirements
  • Have a HS diploma, BS or BA preffered
  • Demonstrate evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
  • Adhere to the mission statement, core values, Code of Conduct, and Statement of Faith of Emmanuel Christian School
