To thrive as a Christian Software Engineer, you need solid programming skills, a relevant degree (such as computer science), and the ability to integrate software development best practices with an understanding of Christian values. Experience with popular development frameworks, cloud platforms, and certifications like AWS or Microsoft are commonly valued, along with knowledge of church management or ministry-related software. Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork, and a commitment to ethical and mission-driven work help you stand out in this position. These skills and qualities enable you to deliver high-quality technical solutions that align with organizational values and serve the unique needs of faith-based communities.
Christian Software Engineers often develop and maintain software solutions such as church management systems, donation platforms, event registration tools, and mobile apps that serve faith-based organizations. They regularly work alongside pastors, ministry leaders, and administrative staff to understand specific needs and ensure that technology supports the organization's mission. Collaboration is an integral part of the role, requiring regular meetings, feedback sessions, and sometimes training users on new tools. This teamwork-driven dynamic provides opportunities for personal growth, skill-building, and the fulfillment of making a meaningful impact within a ministry setting.
A Christian Software Engineer is a software developer who integrates their Christian faith with their profession, often by working for faith-based organizations, developing software that aligns with Christian values, or maintaining ethical technology practices. They may contribute to church management software, Bible apps, or mission-driven projects. While their technical skills are similar to other software engineers, their work is often guided by Christian principles, integrity, and a desire to serve others through technology.

About Chattanooga Christian School:
Chattanooga Christian School (CCS) is a Christian, interdenominational, co-educational, day school nestled on 55+ acres at the foot of Lookout Mountain. CCS has been serving Christian families in the Chattanooga area since 1970 and currently enrolls 1,550+ students in the Lower School (Preschool -5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). We believe the truth of scripture provides the framework through which all of reality can be understood. In concert with all other areas of school life, our academic program prepares students to grow as lovers of God who seek truth, serve others, and steward creation and culture. We are committed to providing an environment that meets each student at their unique point of need and equips them for pursuit of their full, God-given potential. We seek candidates who are committed to the development and discipleship of the whole child, both within and outside of the classroom. Our mission is to prepare students to lead and serve with distinction while representing Christ and seeking his Kingdom in all areas of home, church, society, and culture.
Why join the team at CCS?
At CCS, we are committed to providing a Christ-centered, nurturing environment where academic excellence and spiritual growth go hand in hand. We strive to foster a learning atmosphere where students are encouraged to develop a strong moral foundation, cultivate character, and deepen their faith in Christ. Our faculty and staff are not only enthusiastic about education but also about modeling Christlike behavior, building a strong community of faith, and inspiring students to live out their Christian Values. CCS is dedicated to partnering with families in raising the next generation of leaders who are equipped to serve Christ and make a positive impact in the world.

Full-time employees also receive paid time off for illness, and personal needs.
For part-time employees, while benefits may differ, we are committed to offering competitive compensation and providing access to certain benefits where eligible. Part-time employees may have access to some benefits such as paid time off and retirement plan options, depending on their role and hours worked. Our goal is to ensure all employees are supported and valued within their respective roles.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a high-energy, Christian leader to serve as our Extended Care Coordinator for the upcoming school year. This multifaceted role requires a unique blend of administrative expertise and a heart for serving a diverse group of students, as you will oversee all aspects of our Extended Care programming. From coordinating day-to-day business operations and facilities management to overseeing staff who are highly engaged with students you will ensure our Extended Care Program runs safely, efficiently, and in a well-organized way — with joy, fun and friendship for every student.

You must possess extensive experience working with children, including a high level of competency in supporting children with disabilities and/or medical needs. This leader must have extensive experience in implementing and training staff on grace-based discipline strategies. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who can pivot between fun activities, hands-on site management, and parent communications all while maintaining the enthusiasm necessary to foster a vibrant, Christ-centered environment for our students.
This position will require some training and development before the first day of school start date of 08/12/2026.
