Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated, faith-centered, and innovative Part-Time Kindergarten Teacher to join our growing private microschool.

Our educational model is intentionally designed to identify and cultivate each child's strengths while helping them achieve mastery of core academic subjects through a focused four-hour school day.

Students typically spend:

Approximately 2 hours (or less) engaged in personalized academic instruction.

Approximately 1-2 hours focused on life skills development, enrichment, play, leadership activities, and carefully designed electives.

The teacher will work collaboratively with school leadership and families while guiding and nurturing students academically, spiritually and emotionally.

This role combines the responsibilities of teacher, mentor, coach, and role model.

Schedule

Kindergarten Program

Approximately 9-12 Hours Weekly

Three days per week

3-4 hours per day

(Future) Elementary Program

Approximately 16 Hours Weekly

Four days per week

4 hours per day

Flexible scheduling opportunities may be available.

Core Responsibilities

Academic Instruction & Personalized Learning

Utilizing a combination of school-provided curriculum (including adaptive AI learning powered curriculums for specific subjects). This technology automatically adjusts to each student's individual pace and ability level, freeing the instructor from lesson planning while focusing on each child’s progress.

Support students in achieving academic mastery in:

Language Arts

Mathematics

Science

Social Studies

Foster curiosity, confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Encourage students to set goals, track progress, and take ownership of their educational journey.

Faith & Character Development

Integrate Biblical principles throughout daily instruction and interactions.

Foster a Christ-centered classroom culture focused on love, respect, integrity, responsibility, and service.

Model servant leadership and strong Christian character.

Encourage spiritual growth through age-appropriate discipleship and mentorship.

Help students develop a Biblical worldview and strong moral foundation.

What You Won't Be Doing

Managing classrooms of 25-30 students.

Lectures: You step away from the whiteboard delivering one-size-fits-all lessons to rows of seated students.

Spending evenings grading homework.

Creating extensive lesson plans from scratch.

Teaching strictly to standardized tests.

Assigning busy work.

Managing excessive administrative requirements.

Bringing educational responsibilities home every night.

Focusing solely on academic performance while neglecting character development.

Instead, you will spend your time teaching, coaching, mentoring, focusing on discipleship and helping students become confident, capable, Christ-centered young leaders.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree in any field. Teaching certificate Not Required.

Valid teaching certification preferred or ability to meet state requirements.

Current Fingerprint Clearance Card or ability to obtain one.

Demonstrated commitment to Christian values and faith-based education.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently in a flexible, innovative, and entrepreneurial educational environment.

Preferred

Experience teaching kindergarten, elementary, homeschool, microschool, or multi-age classrooms.

Experience implementing personalized, mastery-based, or competency-based learning models.

Familiarity with educational technology and online learning platforms

Experience utilizing AI-enhanced educational tools to personalize student learning.

Knowledge of project-based and experiential learning methodologies.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.

Background in business, entrepreneurship, public speaking, financial literacy, coaching, or leadership development.

Pastoral Recommendation.
