Reporting to the Lead Groundskeeper and Assistant Director of Facilities, this position performs routine landscaping and grounds maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The Groundskeeper supports campus operations through diligent maintenance, safety awareness, and teamwork

Requirements / Qualifications A High School Diploma is preferred. Prior experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or facilities support is preferred. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to safely operate landscaping equipment, including mower, edger, trimmer, and blower.

Applicants must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasks that require bending, reaching, climbing ladders, and prolonged standing. A commitment to modeling Christian character and working cooperatively as part of a team is required. Applicants must submit a completed employment application and resume reflecting educational background and relevant experience.

Upon hire, employees must provide documentation verifying authorization to work in the United States (I-9), complete required background checks and Live Scan fingerprinting, and provide proof of education (if applicable). Additional documentation such as TB clearance and a signed faith statement may be required in accordance with school policy and state regulations. The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, safe equipment operation, flexibility to work overtime or weekends as needed, and alignment with the mission of Village Christian School.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, 12-month position with benefits. Schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, 7:00am-3:30pm. Compensation ranges from $17.87 - $20.00 per hour and is dependent upon qualifications and experience
