Fully Licensed Mental Health Therapist — 1099 Independent Contractor

Eternal Hope Christian Counseling | Midland, Michigan
Multiple Positions Available

Eternal Hope Christian Counseling is growing and seeking fully licensed mental health therapists to join our practice as 1099 independent contractors.

Our mission is simple: Evidence-Based Therapy with a Christian Foundation.

We are looking for compassionate, dependable clinicians who value clinical excellence, professional integrity, and high-quality client care while supporting the Christian mission and foundation of Eternal Hope Christian Counseling.

What We Provide

Eternal Hope provides the practice infrastructure and administrative support that allows clinicians to focus on providing excellent client care, including:

  • Established client referrals
  • Administrative and scheduling support
  • SimplePractice EHR access
  • Insurance billing
  • Credentialing support
  • Practice-paid credentialing services
  • Established insurance relationships

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be fully licensed in the State of Michigan and authorized to practice independently
  • Maintain an active professional license in good standing
  • Successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Be willing and eligible to become credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM), Priority Health, and Aetna
  • Complete all required insurance credentialing before beginning clinical services
  • Maintain a current and accurate CAQH profile
  • Provide proof of active professional liability/errors and omissions (E&O) insurance with minimum coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $5,000,000 aggregate
  • Maintain required professional liability/E&O coverage throughout the contractor relationship
  • Complete required clinical documentation within 24 hours of services provided
  • Provide ethical, professional, evidence-based mental health treatment
  • Support and be comfortable working within the Christian mission and foundation of Eternal Hope Christian Counseling

Applicants must be fully licensed. Limited-license clinicians are not eligible for these positions.

Position Responsibilities

Independent contractors provide outpatient psychotherapy within their professional license, training, clinical competence, and areas of specialization.

Responsibilities include clinical assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, appropriate coordination of care, and maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Clinicians maintain independent professional judgment and responsibility for the clinical services they provide.

Eternal Hope uses SimplePractice for scheduling, clinical documentation, and billing for services provided through the practice.

Independent Contractor Opportunity

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not W-2 employment.

Contractors maintain independent professional judgment and are responsible for maintaining their own professional licensure, continuing education, professional liability insurance, taxes, and other responsibilities associated with independent contractor status.

Compensation is based on monies actually received for services provided by the contractor and is processed according to Eternal Hope Christian Counseling's established biweekly contractor compensation cycle.

Specific compensation terms and details of the contractor relationship will be discussed during the interview process.
