Job Description
North Cobb Christian School seeks a qualified individual to serve as a Middle School Before-Care Staff member. This role is essential for maintaining a safe, structured, and welcoming morning environment for middle school students in the Pavilion prior to the start of the academic day. The staff member ensures student safety, fosters a culture of order and respect, manages behavior and health concerns, and coordinates the timely release of students to their morning classes.

Duties and Responsibilities
Student Supervision & Campus Safety:
  • Ensure all 5th-8th-grade students on campus prior to 7:40 AM are in the Pavilion for Before Care.
  • Supervise middle school students gathered in the Pavilion, ensuring good order, discipline, and intentional purpose during morning care.
  • Maintain the safety and security of all students in the Pavilion area during operational hours.
  • Manage any health-related issues that arise during care, utilizing appropriate procedures and emergency protocols.
  • Manage any disciplinary, behavioral, or safety issues and report them to the Middle School Student Life Director.

Operational & Facility Oversight:
  • Oversee the timely release of students to class at 7:45 AM on regular school days and 8:45 AM on late-start days.
  • Ensure the Pavilion space is kept neat, clean, and organized both before student arrival and following student dismissal.
  • Maintain open and professional communication with the Middle School Student Life Director regarding daily logistics or program needs.

Qualifications
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong relational and classroom management skills to maintain active, respectful supervision.
  • High reliability, punctuality, and consistency in fulfilling morning schedule commitments.
  • Ability to handle unexpected student needs or health concerns with patience, calm discernment, and care.

Education and Experience:
  • Experience working with or supervising middle school-aged children is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Acceptance without reservation of the NCCS doctrinal beliefs and lifestyle tenets.

Other Information
  • Program Schedule: Before Care operates from 7:00 AM to 7:45 AM (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and 7:00 AM to 8:45 AM on Wednesday (late start).
  • Work Hours: Working hours are 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM (Wednesday), totaling 6 hours per week.
  • Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
