Job description

Compliance and Insurance Specialist

Compliance and Insurance Specialist needed in Valley View's Compliance department!

Clinical experience in the healthcare industry is strongly desired, preferably Registered Nurse!

This is a full-time, day-shift position!

PRIMARY ORGANIZATION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports the design, development, analysis, and continuous improvement of the Compliance, Contracts, and Insurance programs at Valley View.
  • Supports, builds, delivers, and maintains training and educational programs for employees on compliance, insurance, and contracts.
  • Compiles and analyzes internal and external information to prepare compliance, insurance, contract, and state‑required data and reports.
  • Reviews policies and procedures under the Compliance department and related operational areas on a scheduled basis and as needed to maintain organizational policy compliance.
  • Serves as the primary operational point of contact for Contract Management and Insurance programs and supports the Director of Compliance & Risk in the coordination and communication of compliance-related matters.
  • Assists the Director of Compliance & Risk in reviewing and maintaining annual and as‑needed budget notes, documentation, and supporting materials for Compliance, Insurance, and Contract‑related activities.
  • Stays current on industry standards, new legislation, regulatory requirements, state licensing obligations, and insurance‑related rules by participating in continuing education, reviewing professional publications, engaging with peers, and joining relevant professional groups; provides timely updates to the Director of Compliance & Risk.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree 2 plus (2+) years' experience in related healthcare field
  • CHC or CHPC certification preferred, or ability to obtain certification within 18 months of employment.

Experience:

  • Preferred experience in federal or state regulatory or managed care compliance
  • Clinical experience in the healthcare industry is strongly desired, preferably Registered Nurse.

Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to changes in Valley View's policies and procedures

SALARY RANGE

  • ‎$76,460.80 to $112,444.80/hour
  • Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
