Job description

The Student Manager will help the Ensemble Conductor with day-to-day operations of the choir, including rehearsal and concert set up and logistics, music library, and other administrative tasks as needed.

Core Duties
  • Arrive early and stay late to rehearsals to help set up and take down piano and chairs
  • Help with assignment of folders and with distribution, collection, and organization of music
  • Communicate with Choir on administrative and logistical matters
  • Assist with programs and other tasks as assigned at concerts
  • Assist in other administrative and marketing activities of the ensemble as directed by the Conductor
  • Other relevant duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • Manager must have auditioned for, been accepted as a member of, and be registered for Bel Canto ( MUS 452).
  • Manager must be available to attend to duties prior to and after scheduled rehearsals and concerts, and at other times as agreed upon with Conductor
  • Manager must be able to move piano and also lift chairs and music stands
  • Good organizational and communication skills are required for this position
Preferred Qualifications
  • Been in UP Bel Canto for at least a year
  • Have or have held a student leadership position on campus
