Location: Mi Escuela Montessori | Polk County, FL

Language Environment: 100% Spanish Immersion (Classroom) / Bilingual (Parent Education)

The Opportunity: Building the Foundation from Birth

Nuestra Misión: Sembrando Semillas desde el Nacimiento Mi Escuela Montessori is a dual-language charter school, a Spanish immersion center, and a MACTE-accredited training hub. As we move into our brand-new facility, we are expanding our mission to support families from the very beginning.

Estamos buscando un/a "Changemaker"—a Spanish Immersion Lead Toddler Guide who is not only a master of the classroom but also a passionate Parent Educator. In addition to leading our 12–36 month immersion environment, you will help lead workshops for parents of newborns. We need a visionary who can communicate the beauty of Montessori in both languages to ensure every family feels empowered and included.

Key Responsibilities | Responsabilidades Clave

1. Liderazgo Bilingüe y Educación para Padres

  • Inmersión Total: Ser el modelo lingüístico de español al 100% dentro del salón de clases (12–36 meses).

  • Parent Training: Facilitate workshops and "Parent & Child" classes in English and Spanish, building a bridge between the home and the Montessori environment.

  • Community Advocacy: Act as a Child Development Specialist, helping families navigate milestones, bilingualism, and the "Prepared Environment."

2. Montessori Fidelity & Respectful Care

  • El Ambiente Preparado: Maintain a high-fidelity space that serves as a model for our MACTE-accredited training cohorts.

  • Aprendizaje del Baño: Lead the "Toilet Learning" process with a respectful, independence-based approach that honors the child’s dignity.

  • Inclusión: Adapt the environment for neurodivergent and multilingual learners using positive discipline.

3. Regulatory & School Readiness Compliance

  • Estándares de DCF: Ensure the classroom meets all Florida DCF health and safety regulations.

  • Documentation: Monitor and record developmental benchmarks required for the School Readiness program.

Qualifications | Requisitos

Required:

  • Spanish Language Mastery: Native or near-native proficiency (100% immersion).

  • English Communication: Ability to lead parent education classes and write professional reports in English.

  • DCF Training: Completion of the 45-hour DCF Introductory Childcare Training (or the ability to complete it before the first day of school).

  • Staff Credential: A valid National CDA, Florida Staff Credential (FCCPC)

Preferred:

  • Experience in Parent Education or hosting community workshops.

  • 2+ years of experience working with the 12–36 month age group.

  • MACTE-accredited Montessori Infant-Toddler Credential.

  • A vibrant, welcoming personality with a "chispa" for community building.
