Chiropractic Practice Management information

What is chiropractic practice management?

Chiropractic practice management refers to the strategies, processes, and systems used to efficiently run and grow a chiropractic clinic. It includes managing patient scheduling, billing, staff, compliance with healthcare regulations, marketing, and financial oversight. Effective practice management helps chiropractors deliver quality care while ensuring the business side of the practice is sustainable and profitable.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in chiropractic practice management?

To thrive in Chiropractic Practice Management, you need a solid understanding of healthcare administration, business operations, and regulatory compliance, often supported by a degree in healthcare management or business. Familiarity with practice management software, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and billing/coding procedures is typically required. Strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills help build cohesive teams and deliver excellent patient experiences. These competencies ensure efficient practice operations, regulatory adherence, and sustainable business growth in a competitive healthcare environment.

Job description

Compensation: $85,000–$105,000 base salary + performance incentives | $110,000+ earning potential

Medicus Spine & Joint is seeking a Chiropractic Physician (DC) to join our multidisciplinary team in Panama City, Florida.

This is not a traditional standalone chiropractic practice. Our chiropractors work as part of an integrated medical team caring for patients with spine, musculoskeletal, orthopedic, and accident-related injuries, with access to advanced practice providers and medical specialists throughout the patient's course of care.

We're looking for a chiropractor who is clinically strong, comfortable managing an active patient schedule, and understands that excellent chiropractic care includes more than performing adjustments. Patient education, documentation, communication, clinical decision-making, and coordination of care are equally important.

What You'll Do

As a Chiropractic Physician with Medicus Spine & Joint, you will:

Evaluate patients with spine, joint, musculoskeletal, and accident-related injuries

Perform comprehensive chiropractic examinations and assessments

Develop and manage individualized chiropractic treatment plans

Provide chiropractic manipulation and other appropriate conservative treatments

Review diagnostic imaging and relevant medical records

Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when clinically appropriate

Identify changes in patient condition requiring additional evaluation or specialist referral

Coordinate care with Advanced Practice Providers and medical specialists

Educate patients regarding their diagnosis, treatment plan, recovery, and home care

Maintain complete, accurate, and timely electronic medical records

Document objective findings, patient response to treatment, and medical necessity

Participate in the multidisciplinary management of personal injury patients

Maintain compliance with clinical, regulatory, documentation, and organizational standards

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) degree from an accredited chiropractic college

Current or eligible Florida Chiropractic Physician license

Strong chiropractic adjusting and musculoskeletal examination skills

Sound clinical judgment

Excellent documentation skills

Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment

Commitment to timely and accurate completion of patient records

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following is particularly valuable:

Personal injury

Motor vehicle accident care

Spine care

Musculoskeletal medicine

Orthopedics

Multidisciplinary medical practices

Workers' compensation

Injury rehabilitation

Medical-legal documentation

Prior personal injury experience is preferred but is not required for the right clinician.

Compensation

Base Salary: $85,000–$105,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Additional performance-based compensation may provide total annual earning potential of $110,000+.

Candidates with significant experience in personal injury, multidisciplinary spine care, high-volume clinical practice, or medical-legal documentation may qualify toward the upper end of the compensation range.

Why Medicus Spine & Joint?

At Medicus, chiropractic is an important part of a larger clinical care model.

Our chiropractors have the opportunity to work alongside providers across multiple disciplines rather than practicing in isolation. Patients can be evaluated and treated across chiropractic, advanced practice medicine, interventional pain management, neurology, orthopedic surgery, and neurosurgery when clinically appropriate.

For a chiropractor who wants to focus on treating patients while developing deeper experience in spine, injury, and multidisciplinary medicine, Medicus offers a different environment from the traditional chiropractic office.

We offer:

Established multidisciplinary medical practice

Outpatient clinical environmentAdministrative and clinical support

Collaboration with medical providers and specialists

Established patient flow

No requirement to build your own patient panel

Opportunity to develop expertise in personal injury and spine care

Growth opportunities within a multi-location healthcare organization

Competitive base compensation with performance-based earning potential
