As a Civil Practice Team Leader in our Minneapolis office, enjoy responsibilities that include:
  • Lead and participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management.
  • Develop new business opportunities by strengthening relationships with existing clients and creating new client connections.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, professional associations, and community activities to enhance visibility and market presence
  • Project engineering and management including project oversight, setting priorities and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process.
  • The ability to serve as a technical resource for site civil team members.

We are considering Civil Practice Team Leader candidates who possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in leading a wide variety of site development projects, municipal roadway or utility projects. Candidates with additional experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Success in business development planning, including developing strategic business plans, marketing activities, client development, presentation experience and proposal development.
  • Knowledge of general civil engineering, including stormwater management design, municipal utility design and permitting regulations.
  • Knowledge of municipal utility design including sanitary sewer and water main.
  • Experience managing a group would be considered a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Minnesota. PE licenses in other Midwest states is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary.
  • General knowledge of Autodesk Civil3D, hydrology and hydraulic software.
