Job description

Job Title: Jr Salesforce Administrator

Location: Flexible / Remote

Department: Finance and Data

Reports to: Sr. Salesforce Administrator

Wage Category: Non-Exempt

The Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF) is not a traditional research foundation. We operate as a patient-centered drug discovery engine for NF, a group of genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves affecting 1 in 2,000 individuals. We operate by accelerating the full continuum of scientific discovery, from basic research through translation to clinical trials and approved treatments — while empowering patients and building the financial infrastructure to support that journey. We catalyze progress by uniting academia, industry, regulators, and patient advocates around shared goals.

Summary

The Jr Salesforce Administrator will work directly with our Sr. Salesforce Administrator to assist with data imports and data migrations which will require mapping configurations and writing SOQL queries using Data Loader. The Jr. Salesforce Administrator will monitor and keep daily management of our Cases Ticketing Object. The Jr Salesforce Administrator will analyze and review standard and complex inquiries, and collaborate with our Salesforce Admin on the best approach of executing those jobs/tasks in a timely manner. They will have an advanced skill set of Microsoft Excel specifically with Macros and Formulas.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Salesforce Administrator with the management of system configuration, including design, data imports, and data migration.

  • Daily Management and Maintenance of the Cases Ticketing application. General System Administration.

  • Daily management of the Intacct and Salesforce integration, Classy, and GoFundMe Pro.

  • Review scenarios and implement changes in accordance with change management requirements.

  • Assist the Salesforce Administrator with functional testing, and rollout of customizations, workflows, custom objects, new enhancements, application releases, and system integration based on user/business needs.

  • Manage custom fields, forms, records, lists, and workflows to meet business requirements. Management of User Acceptance testing tasks.

  • Maintain the integrity of the sandbox environments and assist with change sets.

  • Build and maintain proper system permissions access for all roles.

  • System configuration, data integrity, and all system-related policies and procedures.

  • Review upgrades to evaluate the impact on processes, configurations, and customizations. Ability to analyze complex problems and assess how Salesforce can be utilized to solve them.

  • Builds, runs, distributes, and supports in-depth dashboards, searches, and operational reports to provide insight into data needs for all team functions.

  • Performs additional duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • At least 2 years Salesforce experience. Salesforce Certification is preferred but not required.

  • Ability to write standard SOQL queries data import mapping to support projects and saved search requests.

  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce platform, with the ability to build custom formula fields, processes, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity preferred.

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality preferred.

  • Experience with nonprofit processes preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work creatively in a problem solving team environment.

  • Excellent customer service skills; ability to form relationships both externally and internally. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrate Proficiency in Excel specifically Macros and Formulas.

Working Conditions, Equipment Used, and Special Information

Must have unimpeachable integrity and trustworthiness and possess remarkable tact, discretion, and professionalism. Verbal and written communication skills will be used daily. Maintains effectiveness under pressure. Ability to lift 25 lbs. Flexible for overnight business travel. Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.
