Job description

Inspire Curious Minds Through Play, Learning, and Fun!
The YMCA is looking for a caring, energetic and creative Children's Program Instructor to provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment for preschool-aged children. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, enjoys working collaboratively with others, and believes that children learn best through play, exploration, and positive relationships.
As a Children's Program Instructor, you will plan and lead a variety of gym and classroom-based enrichment programs that encourage learning, creativity, physical activity, and social development. You'll help maintain a well-organized learning space, use positive classroom management techniques to foster a welcoming and respectful environment, and work closely with fellow staff to create a consistent, high-quality experience for every child and family.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience providing care for infants and pre-school aged children, preferred.
  • Experience in childrenโ€™s programming/education, preferred.
  • Certifications that must be obtained and maintained within first 90 days: CPR, AED , First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication.
  • Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading classes, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting. Individuals in this position may be subject to all elements of weather and loud facilities.
