Job Summary:

Just Play is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate to join our team. This individual will have a hand in several critical accounting functions, collaborating with Finance Management. To ensure success as an Accounting Associate the ideal candidate will be a passionate team player that can effectively manage multiple tasks. This position will launch a solid career growth path for the right person in a fast paced, exciting entrepreneurial environment.


Principal Responsibilities:


  • Participate in and supervise quarterly royalty processes and reconciliations
  • Interpret licensing contracts for royalty processing and audits
  • Correspond with licensors regarding royalty reporting and payments
  • Participate in and supervise quarterly commission processes and reconciliations
  • Review audit reports to identify issues with ERP system data to ensure data integrity
  • Provide supplemental support to financial accounting teams when needed
  • Review transactional data for accuracy and consistency
  • Assist in licensor royalty audits
  • Assist in financial audits of the group as well as individual subsidiaries
  • Assist in preparation of cash flow estimates
  • Profit analysis of local manufacturing operations


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years related accounting / finance experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Passion for problem solving and business process improvement
  • Strong work ethic, high level of motivation, willingness to learn quickly
  • Excellent systems, technology, and analytical skills
  • Ability to demonstrate competent self-reliance and resourcefulness
  • Ability to multi-task while delivering accurate results
  • Advanced Excel skills required; Proficiency in all other Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams;
  • Experience with ERP systems, databases
  • Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal)
