Job description

Job Summary: A Daycare Assistant supports the daily operations of the childcare center by providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This role involves assisting lead teachers with classroom activities, supervising children, maintaining cleanliness, and promoting each child's physical, emotional, and social development. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.

Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate educational and recreational activities. Help children with meals, snacks, toileting, diapering, and personal hygiene as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom and play areas.

Monitor children's behavior and encourage positive social interactions. Assist with nap time, transitions, and daily routines. Communicate professionally with parents and guardians regarding children's daily activities when appropriate.

Follow all childcare licensing regulations and health and safety policies. Support lead teachers with classroom preparation, recordkeeping, and special projects. Respond appropriately to emergencies and administer basic first aid if trained.
