Job description

Location:  Moraga Campus 

Pay Range: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Purpose:

Assists Center Directors in coordinating center services and related activities such as center management and classroom supervision. Provides support to perform various functions to ensure successful center operation.

What will you be doing?

·         Acts in place of the Center Director when he/she is not on the premises.

·         Maintains current knowledge of early childhood best practices and quality programming through State licensing requirements and guidelines.

·         Provides professional development by teaching teams and through attendance and participation at semi-annual conferences.

·         Supervises and assists classroom staff as needed. Fills in as needed.

·         Works with the Center Director to coordinate special and community events, including open houses.

·         Addresses all parent complaints, concerns, and inquiries in a timely, professional manner.

·         Assists the Center Director in achieving the monthly average enrollment target of 90% (specific objectives based on external factors).

·         Conducts tours for prospective families, parents, and staff.

Requirements:

·         Minimum 3-5 Years of experience caring for preschoolers and managing an educational program in a licensed childcare center or similar settings; OR

·         High school graduation or GED and 15 semester units or equivalent quarter units in Early Childhood Education or specific early childhood education classes. 15 semesters include 3 in staff and administration, 12 units in child growth and development, and 4 in teaching; OR

·         Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child, Family and Community, Preschool Curriculum, or related field; and

·         Master’s Degree preferred.

·         Must adhere to the guidelines under Community Care Licensing Title 22 for Child Care Centers.
