The primary purpose of this position is to assist the director in implementing and supervising on-going
developmental child care and preschool programs for children six weeks through 5 years of age in the Child and Youth Program Center at the installation.
Requirements:
Must pass pre-employment physical
Obtain & maintain a security clearance
May be required to travel to perform temporary duty
May have extended/other than normal duty hours
This position is a child care/youth services position subject to background checks in accordance with Public Law (PL) 101-647. This is a condition of employment.
Must be available to support Mobility or Readiness Center (RC) operations in an exercise or contingency
situation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA):
1. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in early childhood education, child development, or related field is required.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of early childhood philosophies, concepts, and developmentally appropriate
activities for children ages six weeks through 5 years.
3. Knowledge of Air Force/DoW regulations governing child development, sanitation, safety and personnel
practices. Must complete all training, security clearances, and medical requirements including Pediatric First Aid with Rescue Breathing.
