Location: Houston, TX; Denver, CO; or Salt Lake City, UT (Hybrid Work Environment)
Compensation: Base salary with a bonus target of 30%, + benefits

Our client is a recognized industry leader in the renewable energy sector, known for their innovation, integrity, and impact. With a strong foundation and ambitious growth goals, they are poised for transformational change and are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead that charge.
Position Summary
The CTO will be responsible for setting and executing the company's long-term IT and technology strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. This role will report directly to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). All Information Technology functions will report into and through this position. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the solar or renewable energy industry, strong leadership experience, and a proven ability to drive innovation in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and own the company's IT vision, strategy, and roadmap to support and enhance business operations and growth.
  • Lead all facets of IT including infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, software development, data analytics, and IT operations.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of scalable systems and solutions to meet the evolving needs of the company.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align technology goals with business objectives.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security best practices.
  • Provide strategic input and guidance on technology trends and competitive positioning in the solar and broader energy sector.
  • Manage IT budgets and vendor relationships to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key advisor on the company's executive leadership team.

Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in technology leadership roles, including experience as a CTO, CIO, or equivalent.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT systems, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and software development life cycles. Salesforce experience and Google experience required.
