Experience Requirements

Candidates must have at least one year of recent acute-care experience providing radiologic services to:

  • Emergency Department patients
  • Inpatient patients
  • Outpatient patients
  • Operating Room patients
Credential Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • An active Virginia Radiologic Technologist license
  • Current ARRT certification
  • Current BLS certification preferred
  • A QuantiFERON-TB Gold or T-SPOT test completed within the past year
  • Documentation of MMR and Varicella immunity through positive titers or vaccination records
  • A physical examination completed within the past year
What You'll Do
  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to physician orders and facility protocols
  • Produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images
  • Maintain patient safety, comfort, privacy, and dignity throughout each procedure
  • Properly operate and maintain radiologic equipment
  • Follow radiation-safety standards and infection-control procedures
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team
  • Accurately document procedures and patient information
  • Provide professional, compassionate care in a fast-paced acute-care environment
