For over 40 years, we’ve built a reputation for personalized service, operational excellence, and unwavering hospitality. Hospitality is at the heart of every stay at Atlantic Realty.

Our mission? To deliver "life’s most precious moments" through expertly managed vacation experiences.

Why Work With Us?

Our size is our secret—and we like it that way. We will never be the largest rental management company on the Outer Banks—we promise! Instead, we focus on loyalty, hard work, and a shared commitment to our mission.

When you join our team, you’re family. We are intentional about our growth and seek to cultivate the right mix of customers, clients, and caretakers who align with our values. If you thrive in a purposeful, people-centered environment where your work is valued, come build something meaningful with us as we continue "creating life's most precious moments."

POSITION SUMMARY:

Lead with Vision. Build with Purpose. Drive Results.

As our Chief Operating Officer,  you will be the driving force behind operational excellence. Reporting directly to our visionary CEO, our COO will play a key role in ensuring that all departments—reservations, guest experience, housekeeping, maintenance, accounting, and owner relations—work together smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with the company’s overall vision.

In this position, you’ll transform ideas into clear processes, eliminate operational bottlenecks, encourage accountability, and support the team in delivering outstanding experiences for both guests and property owners.

This role requires someone who brings structure, balance, and stability to a fast-paced, detail-heavy operation. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as an Integrator and collaborate with the CEO to implement business strategies that drive measurable growth and profitability.

  • Uphold consistent service and hospitality standards, ensuring every property reflects the quality and care owners and guests expect.

  • Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding efforts in collaboration with ownership.

  • Oversee training, coaching, and performance evaluation practices to ensure they are thorough, consistent, and effective.

  • Partner with ownership on budgets, forecasts and expense control.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years COO, Director of Operations or General Manager within the STR / Vacation Rental or Boutique Hotel or Inn industry.

  • Must have 3+ years of experience at one company, those with shorter tenures will not be considered

  • Proven ability to lead teams, implement processes, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Financial literacy — comfortable with budgets, reports, and forecasting.

  • Tech-savvy with reservation and property-management platforms.

  • Excellent communicator with a calm, problem-solving approach.

  • Possess a “no job too small” mindset and be willing to help in any department when needed

  • Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) or similar frameworks is a plus.

  • Local or Willing to Relocate – Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Outer Banks (Dare/Currituck Counties).

  • Must have a North Carolina Real Estate license or be willing to obtain one

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Annual Salary: $125,000 - $150,000 based on experience and achievement

On Track Earnings of $135,000 - $185,000

Benefits:
