Instructional Empowerment
exists to transform teaching and learning so every student has access to rigorous, engaging instruction that prepares them for success in school and life.  We partner with school districts across the country to improve instructional practice, strengthen leadership, and produce measurable gains in student achievement.
Our work is driven by a bold purpose; helping schools eliminate achievement gaps and break cycles of generational poverty by improving the quality of Tier 1 instruction.
Today we are a mid-size company with approximately 100 employees serving districts nationwide.  Tomorrow, we intend to become the premier partner for instructional transformation in K-12 education.
We're looking for a Chief Operating Officer who wants to help build that future.

The Opportunity 

  • As Chief Operating Officer, you will serve as the CEO's strategic operating partner, translating visions into disciplined execution across the company.
  • You will lead the organization's operating rhythm, develop exceptional leaders, build scalable systems, establish three high-performing business units and ensure every department is aligned  around measurable goals.

Qualifications -
Required

  • 10+ years of progressive executive leadership experience.
  • Experience leading multiple functional departments.
  • Demonstrated success scaling a growth-stage organization.
  • Proven experience building leaders and leadership teams.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational execution skills.
  • Experience implementing operating  systems such as Agile, Lean,  OKRs, Scaling Up or similar frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and coaching skills.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision  making skills.
  • Experience in growing professional services and software integration companies.

Preferred
Experience in one or more of the following: 

  • Professional Services
  • Consulting
  • Software/SaaS
  • Technology-enabled services
  • Education Services
  • Multi-business or multi-division organization
  • K-12 education experience is helpful but not required
