The COO will partner closely with physician leaders, health system executives, University of Minnesota Medical School leadership, and the UMP Board of Directors to drive organizational growth, optimize practice performance, strengthen physician engagement, and expand UMP's influence across Minnesota and the region.

This is a unique opportunity to lead operations for one of the nation's premier academic physician organizations and help shape the future of an integrated, multi-specialty medical group affiliated with a leading public research university and academic health system.

  • Build strong partnerships with physician leaders, university stakeholders, and health system partners.
  • Oversee and develop senior leaders across key operational functions.

  • Proven success overseeing clinic operations, finance, IT, revenue cycle, payer contracting, physician relations, and business development.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated success driving organizational growth, operational improvement, and transformation initiatives.
  • Ability to lead effectively in complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an academic medical center, faculty practice plan, teaching hospital, or university-affiliated health system.
  • Experience with physician practice integration, mergers and acquisitions, or practice growth initiatives.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and HIPAA.
  • Experience supporting regional growth and market expansion strategies.

Application:
