Job description

Job Opportunity: Chief of Orthopedics

Our organization, in partnership with a prominent health system serving the diverse communities of Queens, New York, is on the lookout for a physician leader to fill the role of Chief of Orthopedics. This position is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of exceptional care for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the administration, planning, and overall management of the Orthopedics Department.
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision focused on quality, growth, and operational efficiency.
  • Assist in the creation of new clinical programs tailored to the needs of our community patients.
  • Provide comprehensive orthopedic care and services to patients across all age groups.
Qualifications
  • Must possess an MD or DO degree and be board certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Valid New York State medical license, DEA registration, and Medicaid number are required.
  • Strong clinical skills, teaching experience, and excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential.
  • Previous experience in management or leadership roles, particularly in academic medical centers or public health systems, is preferred.
