JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
  • Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag, gloves and goggles.
  • Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards on a consistent basis. Identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately. Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
  • Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
  • Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
  • Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness.
  • Perform opening and closing shift duties.
  • Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary.
  • Monitor cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances.
  • Acts as Manager on Duty when required.
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two (2) years in leadership Housekeeping position
  • Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
  • Excellent time management skills
