Job description

The New York City Department of Transportation seeks a Chief Operations Officer for the Staten Island Ferry and Deputy Commissioner of the Ferry Division. You will provide executive leadership for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of vessels, terminals and facilities, overseeing over 600 employees and a multi-year budget.

In this role you will work with the Commissioner to ensure SMS compliance, regulate private ferry operations, respond to emergencies 24/7, and guide technology
