High school education or equivalent, with two years vocational or military school training in high pressure boilers, turbines, generators, engines and building utilities or equivalent. Must have at least ten years of experience in power plant operation. Must possess management abilities to lead others, organizing work and workers. Must be proficient in reading electrical and mechanical prints and equipment manuals. Must be proficient in the diagnosis of equipment and operational problems and corrections as need be.Chief A Stationary Engineer License, and Universal Refrigerant License. Maintenance Electrician License preferred. A driver's license is required.
