General Position Summary


Ice Solutions is a rapidly growing provider of bulk liquid deicing and ice management solutions, serving snow contractors, municipalities, airports, and commercial operators throughout the United States. Our innovative solutions deliver safer, cleaner, and more efficient ice control alternatives to traditional rock salt while helping customers improve operational performance and environmental sustainability.


As we continue to expand across key markets, we are seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale our national operations. This executive leadership role is responsible for driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring the consistent delivery of exceptional service across all locations and business units.


The COO will work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to execute the company\'s strategic vision, support sustainable growth, improve profitability, and enhance organizational performance. Success in this role requires strong operational leadership, financial acumen, team development expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across all departments within Ice Solutions to achieve company-wide objectives.


Key Responsibilities


The Chief Operating Officer leads the planning and development of the organization\'s operational objectives and initiatives. This role develops strategies and oversees the execution of plans to attain both short-term and long-term financial and mission-critical operational goals. The COO directs the development of organizational capabilities that support sustainable growth while minimizing risk, develops operating budgets, and establishes effective operational policies and procedures.


Additionally, the COO is responsible for developing and executing the operational strategy for the organization, helping define and implement the company\'s vision, direction, and focus. This position leads multiple high-impact initiatives designed to achieve overall corporate objectives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Provide reliable and dedicated leadership to effectively oversee and manage daily business operations.

  • Serve as a key executive partner to the CEO, driving strategy execution, value creation, performance tracking, and organizational reporting.

  • Collaborate closely with directors, finance leadership, the CEO, and executive team members to support company objectives.

  • Act as the primary leader supporting all operational functions across the organization.

  • Apply extensive knowledge of maintenance and facility services within a fast-paced, nationwide operating environment.

  • Utilize strong analytical and process-oriented skills to drive efficiencies and streamline decision-making.

  • Develop and implement both short-term and long-term operational goals that support company growth.

  • Monitor regional, company-wide, and profit-and-loss (P&L) performance.

  • Build, strengthen, and expand relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

  • Establish goals and objectives for each operating unit and communicate expectations effectively to management teams.

  • Drive the company to exceed sales, profitability, cash flow, and business performance objectives.

  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities by leveraging existing capabilities and operational strengths.

  • Provide accurate reporting on organizational performance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and progress toward strategic objectives.

  • Leverage technology to maximize operational efficiency, service delivery, and profitability.

  • Drive results through leadership while fostering and enhancing the company\'s culture.

  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and team-building initiatives that support employee development and sustainable growth.

  • Apply experience gained from larger service organizations to implement structures and processes that enable scalable growth.

  • Develop and manage medium-sized teams while implementing effective retention and engagement strategies.

  • Travel as required, approximately 30% of the time.


Requirements


Qualifications



  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • 10-20 years of relevant operational leadership experience preferred.

  • Possess technological skills to include in depth excel performance.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing large teams.

  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute operational plans effectively.

  • Proficient in the use of technology and software relevant to facility management operations.

  • Strong problem -solving and decision-making abilities.

  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
