Job description

General Purpose
Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and strategic
business initiatives of the company. This role develops, monitors, and evaluates overall corporate strategy with the Chairman & CEO and
the senior management team, with an emphasis on bottom-line performance, working capital, enhancing shareholder value, robust
financial planning and analysis, risk management, and compliance with financial regulations, to support the Quanta Standard's growth
and innovation in the national defense and private sectors. Due to the nature of the functions and information managed, a TS/SCI
clearance is required.
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide fundamental insights to help make better decisions about
formulating and executing strategy, and will play a key role in fundraising, investor relations, and strategic financial planning.
Additionally, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role is crucial to achieving our mission of empowering organizations
to tackle global challenges with integrity, clarity, and data-driven precision. This role is pivotal in driving organizational success by
providing financial insights that enhance decision-making and strategic execution.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
โ€ขMaintain TS/SCI clearance, which is essential for performing the core duties and responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
role, as well as for interacting with external stakeholders. It ensures access to sensitive information and the ability to contribute
effectively to national security initiatives.
โ€ขProvide leadership and management guidance aligned to Quanta Standard's strategy, driving the company to achieve and surpass
its sales, profitability, cash flow, and business goals and objectives.
โ€ขProvide the required analysis and insights to raise additional capital at appropriate valuations to enable Quanta Standard to meet
sales, growth, and market share objectives.
โ€ขDefine the corporate financial strategy and manage financial capital. This involves effectively communicating the capital requirements
and implications of business decisions to the Chairman & CEO and Board of Directors. Additionally, it is crucial to conduct meaningful
proactive analysis to enhance key business decisions, particularly focusing on the management of working capital and the utilization
of financial vehicles.
โ€ขLead all activities related to financial performance assessment and controls, including the budget process and financial reporting.
โ€ขPresent to the Chairman & CEO and execute strategies to grow equity value by increasing gross profit and reducing debt. This
involves ensuring efficient capital expenditures, optimizing taxes, and managing cash flows in a leveraged environment.
Implementing proper financial reporting is also crucial to determine daily and weekly gross profit estimates.
โ€ขDevelop and implement a comprehensive financial risk management policy. Anticipate and correct potential problems in advance to
mitigate risks effectively.
โ€ขEstablish internal control processes necessary to manage and grow the business. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and
standards.
โ€ขPromote effective communication with stakeholders, including investors, employees, and external partners. Manage relationships
with venture capitalists, banks, the Board of Directors, suppliers, and other financial actors.
โ€ขLeverage technology and innovation to improve financial and operational processes.
โ€ขLead and motivate subordinates to advance employee engagement and develop a high-performing managerial team. Foster a culture
of accountability, aligned with the overarching goals and ethical standards of the company.
โ€ขFoster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting the company's core values and ensuring that all employees exhibit
behaviors that align with these values.
โ€ขUse a principled approach to decision-making, ensuring that all actions taken are ethical, data-driven, and in the best interest of the
company and its stakeholders.
Education, Experience and Qualification Requirements
โ€ขBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree in finance, accounting, or a
related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
โ€ขAt least 15 years of experience in similar finance, senior management roles, preferably in high-tech or quantum technology
environments. Experience in the national defense or technology sectors is highly desirable.
โ€ขTS/SCI clearance is required to perform essential duties and responsibilities, ensuring access to sensitive information and the ability
to contribute effectively to national security initiatives.
โ€ขStrong understanding of financial management, corporate finance, and performance management principles.
โ€ขExperience in fundraising, investor relations, and strategic financial planning.
โ€ขDemonstrated experience in managing complex financial and operational functions, excellent knowledge of data analysis and
forecasting methods, proficient in the use of financial management software and tools.
โ€ขExcellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
โ€ขHigh level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
โ€ขStrong understanding of quantum technologies and their applications.
โ€ขExcellent financial acumen, analytical skills decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands
โ€ขThis position follows a hybrid work model and is based in our United States offices (Washington, D.C. and Alexandria, VA). Travel
is required, domestic and international, 20%-30% of the time.
โ€ขThis role may involve working extended hours to meet deadlines and manage critical situations.
โ€ขThe role may require occasional lifting of light objects and long periods of sitting or standing..
