Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead and oversee all engineering operations at our Arlington, VA facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing engineering projects, maintaining equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and leading a team of engineers and technical staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the engineering department, including supervision of engineering staff and contractors.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain engineering policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Oversee the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
  • Plan and coordinate engineering projects from conception through completion, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support operational goals and resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare and manage engineering budgets, reports, and documentation.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field) required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
