Food Runner

Position Summary
As a Team Member of the Food and Beverage team, the Food Runner is a CRCR Ambassador and takes personal ownership to ensure all of their actions are in the best interest of the business. The Food runner is responsible for ensuring food is delivered to the correct table in a timely manner. The Food Runner works closely with the kitchen team to ensure that orders are prepared correctly and efficiently. The Food Runner may also be responsible for assisting with food preparation, including garnishing and assurance of food presentation. 

Position Functions
     Essential Functions
•    Deliver food to Guests while ensuring they receive the correct order.
•    Assist the kitchen and service teams as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation, and timing to optimize our Guest's dining experience.
•    Set up the front line with the equipment, plate ware, and small wares needed to serve all food products effectively.
•    Clean large and small trays and tray stands to be ready for service.
•    Track cooking times on all orders and check finished products for proper degree of doneness, appearance, and plate presentation.
•    Garnish finished entrees according to house specifications and procedures.
•    Accomplish all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices throughout the shift.
•    Report any unsafe condition, unsafe act, accidents, and/or injuries to management. 
•    Assist the Chef and other kitchen staff in accomplishing closing duties and kitchen cleanliness.
•    Complete all side work in the front and/or back of the house as assigned and scheduled by the members of the management team.
•    Assist the Restaurant Server as needed to optimize the Guest’s dining experience.
•    Make sure Guests with children get special silverware and items meant for kids.
•    Act as the primary contact between the front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house staff.
•    Maintain utensils and steak knives polished and stocked.
•    Maintain inventory levels of prepared hot foods and ready-to-eat items. 
•    Stock and maintain other inventory for workstations and displays.
•    Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards for the kitchen and workstations, cleaning food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.
•    Rotate and monitor ready-to-serve and prepared food in display cases.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
•    Must be at least 18 years of age.
•    Must be able to attain an Online Food Handler Certificate.

Preferred qualifications:
•    1+ years of kitchen experience.
•    Knowledge of basic restaurant service etiquette.
