Night Shift
$2,000 Sign-On Bonus*
Primary Purpose
At Mountaire, we reward skills and invest in your future. Master Maintenance Mechanics lead and guide the daily and weekly activities of the general maintenance team to ensure the plant operates at maximum efficiency with minimal downtime. They repair, program, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and adjust equipment and machines for optimal performance. This role requires proven ability in 6 or more technical skill areas and offers a skills-based pay model, certified training programs, relocation assistance, and a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
Essential Job Functions and Duties
  • Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are met and inspect facility conditions and equipment performance.
  • Install, assemble, and test new machines and equipment.
  • Inspect machines regularly for malfunctions, including visual and sound inspections.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements, including personal protective equipment (PPE), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, and following lockout-tagout procedures and process safety management guidelines.
  • Perform emergency repairs, requiring the ability to troubleshoot promptly and effectively.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED, trade school, vocational, or advanced technical training. May include a combination of on-the-job, informal, and formal training.
  • 10+ years' experience in industrial manufacturing or skilled trades.
  • Fully understands the theory, practical knowledge, and skills to function as a master-level mechanic safely and successfully.
  • Skill certification required.
  • Must demonstrate proven ability in 6 or more of the following technical skill areas:
    • Maintenance Fundamentals
    • Electrical Power
    • Mechanical Concepts
    • Electrical Controls
    • Pneumatics
    • Hydraulics
    • Analog & Drive Control
    • PLCs
    • Welding SMAW
    • Welding GTAW
  • Possesses advanced general maintenance skills including welding (Arc/Stick/TIG), math for mechanics, assembly, conveyors, wiring, motors and motor controls, mechanical drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, fabrication, and safety.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with routine general preventative maintenance and repairs and non-routine high-level repairs.
