Role Overview / Purpose and Scope

The Maintenance Supervisoris responsible forcoordinating maintenance operations to support smooth production operations, high safety standards, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance. This role oversees maintenance team members, assigns work, supports training and development,monitorsperformance, and ensures maintenance activities are completedin accordance withcompany policies, safety requirements, quality standards, and applicable government regulations.

The Maintenance Supervisor playsan important roleinoptimizingequipment uptime, supporting preventative maintenance programs, ensuring proper use of labor and materials,maintainingrefrigeration and wastewater operations, and driving continuous improvement across maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate preventative maintenance programs, equipment repair, and facilities repair necessary to support essential operations.

  • Maintain department performance within established standards for efficient use of human resources, equipment, and materials.

  • Seek new opportunities for continuous improvement in materials, processes, lean manufacturing, and total quality management.

  • Ensure routine equipment checks are completed on all PLCs and essential equipment.

  • Coordinate equipment and labor tooptimizecompletion of projects, routine maintenance, and necessary repairs.

  • Ensure proper maintenance of refrigeration equipment through assigned staff.

  • Support maintenance and completion of the PSM program.

  • Supervise wastewater treatment operations and work toward the highest standard of wastewater recycling.

  • Ensure wastewater treatment operations meet the requirements of the discharge permit.

  • Maintain knowledge of current maintenance and manufacturing technologies and systems.

  • Ensure compliance with USDA, OSHA, EEO, and other applicable government regulations.

  • Establish andmaintainappropriate workingrelationships with other management personnel and USDA representatives.

  • Support Process Hazard Analysis and Management of Change processes for system changes.

  • Mentor and motivate maintenance team members by providing training and development to support performance and personal growth.

  • Communicate performance standards to team members.

  • Recognize and reward individual and team accomplishments.

  • Address andcounselperformance concerns ina timelyandappropriate manner.

  • Communicate standards and ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, GMPs, and HACCP procedures.

  • Train team members on safety regulations and practices and enforce safety expectations.

  • Manage staffing and attendance for assigned team members.

  • Facilitate team meetings, including team member training.

  • Ensureappropriate documentationis completed,maintained, and filed asrequired.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Compensation

    Compensation Range:$100,000- $115,000

    Additional Compensation:Shift differential available for 2ndand 3rdshift positions

    The posted compensation range for this role should reflect the minimum and maximum amount Farmer Focus in good faith expects to pay at the time of posting, based on factors such as internal equity, relevant experience, market data, and the budgeted amount available for the position.

    Qualifications

    • Associate degree in a related field and five to seven years of related supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

    • Experience coordinating maintenance operations in a manufacturing, production, processing, or similar environment.

    • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, equipment repair, facilities repair, and maintenance operations.

    • Knowledge of safety requirements, quality standards, GMPs, HACCP procedures, and applicable regulatory expectations.

    • Ability to supervise, mentor, train, and motivate maintenance team members.

    • Ability to communicate performance standards and address performance concerns appropriately.

    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

    • Good judgment and strong problem-resolution skills.

    • Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

    • Ability toestablishand maintain effective working relationships with management, team members, regulatory representatives, and cross-functional partners.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience in food processing, poultry processing, manufacturing, or production maintenance.

    • Experience with refrigeration systems, wastewater treatment operations, or PSM programs.

    • Experience with lean manufacturing, total quality management, or continuous improvement initiatives.

    • Knowledge of PLCs and essential production equipment.

    • Prior experience managing staffing, attendance, training documentation, and team performance.

    New team members must be able to pass a drug,alcoholand background screening post-offer and prior to the start of their employment. The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that verification of employment eligibility be documented for all new employees by the end of their third day of work.

    Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Travel

    Work is conducted primarily in an office and manufacturing/production environment at Farmer Focus facilities. Occasional travel between facilities may berequiredfor meetings, collaboration, and team coverage. This role may require access to the production environment and maintenanceareas. Theteam member must be ableto toleratevarying heat, wet, and chill conditions within the plant.Hearing and eye-protective equipment are required in the production area.Hair and beard nets arerequiredin the production area.Additionalpersonal protective equipment may berequiredbased on task, location, and safety requirements. This position may require standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and working near production equipment, maintenance equipment, and active plant operations.
