Job description

Security Officer - On-Call / Flex

SecureOne Security Services is hiring on-call Security Officers to fill open shifts and emergency coverage needs across our client sites in the Chicago South Suburbs. This is an ideal role for candidates seeking flexible hours or building toward a full-time schedule.

Pay

  • Starting at $16.04 per hour
  • Weekly pay with optional daily pay access

About This Role

On-call Security Officers are contacted for shift coverage when a site has an open post. Officers must be available to respond on short notice and be comfortable working across different client locations. Reliable cell phone, transportation, and availability for varied shifts - including weekends and evenings - are required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide security coverage at assigned client locations on an as-needed basis
  • Conduct patrols, monitor premises, and maintain a visible security presence
  • Respond to and document incidents, hazards, and policy violations
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation
  • Follow site-specific post orders and company procedures at each location

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Active Illinois PERC Card preferred; ability to obtain required before first day of work
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred
  • Clean background check and drug screening required
