About the Team
We are seeking a Product Manager who can work horizontally across platforms and solve complex multi-domain multi-dimensional problems to orchestrate the build of end-to-end innovative real-time, intelligent experiences to drive growth in card acquisitions. As a horizontal product manager, you will be a thought leader with a strategic multidisciplinary mindset, sitting at the interface of business and technology. You will work backwards from the customer objectives to influence and drive transformation in our platform strategy to unlock a flywheel of value creation.

This is a high visibility and impact role, and will have a good mix of technical product complexity and business impact. Key responsibilities would include:

  • Developing an end-to-end understanding of our Decisioning as a Service platforms and surrounding ecosystems to anticipate how changes in one part of system interplay with the rest

  • Driving the Card Acquisitions financial-core modernization to completion, transitioning from our legacy vendor to the new internally built core, unlocking data processing flows that power real-time, intelligent customer experiences

  • Systematically partnering with our internal business unit customers to understand their strategic priorities and needs from Decisioning Platforms

  • Collaborating with product and engineering teams across platforms to create a continuous feedback loop to improve our acquisitions service capabilities and move to self-serve

  • Understanding long term roadmaps across decisioning ecosystem and feeding that into scoping/prioritization of business initiatives to create efficiencies

  • Socializing and refining complex acquisitions initiatives by collaborating with capability product/engineering leads and architecture to create solutions

  • Identifying the full set of resources needed for delivery of groomed initiatives and driving prioritization and trade-off conversations as necessary

  • Partnering with Ops, Legal/Compliance, Data governance and Risk to identify if new controls or updates are needed for well managed launch of initiatives

  • Leading development and execution of end to end testing scenarios and validations to launch new initiatives in a well-managed way

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date:

    • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field), Business or Marketing

OR

  • Bachelor's degree in any field and 3 years of Product Management experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Chicago, IL: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management


McLean, VA: $164,800 - $188,100 for Manager, Product Management


New York, NY: $179,700 - $205,100 for Manager, Product Management


Richmond, VA: $149,800 - $171,000 for Manager, Product Management








Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
