Position: Night Clean Up
Department: Pear Packing - Pear Packing Labor
Location: 6550 WA-14 Bingen, WA 98605
Direct Supervisor: Pear Production Supervisor, Night Sanitation Lead
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 4:00 pm - 12:30am; 30 minute lunch. Overtime & Extended hours as needed. Saturdays as needed. 7 days a week up to 10 hours a day during Cherry season (approx. June-July) at Dallesport in a similar position.
Compensation: Training Wage- $16.91/hr; Base Wage- $17.20/hr
Other Compensation: Discretionary Bonuses
Benefits: Employees (& qualifying family members) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in our Company's 401k plan. Both Pretax and Roth options are available. Employees are eligible for 5 days of vacation after 1 year, 10 days after 2 years, 15 days after 10 years, and 20 days after 20 years of employment. Position Summary:
The Night Sanitation worker is responsible for cleaning our production lines once the fruit is done being packed for the day. As part of a small team, the Night Sanitation worker, will be trained and responsible for cleaning in designated areas by the Night Sanitation Lead. The worker will use water and chemicals to clean.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Cleans and sanitizes production lines
  • Uses chemicals, water, and tools to clean/sanitize appropriate areas
  • Picks up and moves trash to designated areas
  • Ensures personal safety and safety of others at all times
  • Works at a fast pace while maintaining safety
  • Cleans/Sanitizes dump tank
  • Adhere to good manufacturing practices, personal and work area hygiene & food safety standards and requirements.
  • Follow all Plant Safety requirements and adhere to the Company Handbook.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
  • Temperatures can be moderate to cool in this indoor work environment
  • Must be able to work inside a packing facility
  • Stand on feet for long periods of time (Up to three hours at a time)
  • Use of upper extremities and both hands to complete tasks
  • Must have good hand dexterity
  • Visual acuity and reading of labels
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on an occasional basis

Experience/Education:
  • Production or packing experience highly preferred
  • HS Diploma/GED preferred
