Overview
Waters-ERA is currently leading a search for a Chemistry Technician I who is primarily responsible for product manufacturing, packaging, labeling, assembling, and inventory control for Waters ASR & ERA products. The Chemistry Technician I will work closely with the manufacturing supervisors, Quality, and EH&S to ensure the highest level of product quality and value are provided to Waters-ERA customers.
The successful candidate will be a passionate and agile, who strives to deliver superior value to our internal and external customers every day. This hands-on position requires excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving, critical thinking as well as a compelling initiative to see the organization succeed.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for manufacturing and production of products to meet customer delivery laboratory expectations/delivery dates
  • Responsible for bench/wet chemistry testing using EPA & Standard Methods
  • Responsible for ensuring 100% compliance to specification of finished product by ensuring product has been manufactured, and verified per established processes and procedures
  • Responsible for the correct labeling and packaging of completed products
  • Responsible for ensuring manufacturing documentation meets product & customer specifications and reviewing all documentation for correctness and completion
  • Responsible for ensuring all Certificates of Analysis are completed properly and accurately
  • Health & Safety, Continuous Improvement, Quality investigations
  • Assist other departments when resources are needed

Qualifications
  • BS./B.A. in Chemistry or Science related field required
  • 1+ years of environmental laboratory related work experience recommended
  • Experience with bench top wet chemistry analysis using EPA and Standard Methods preferred
  • Experience within a highly quality controlled manufacturing or production lab a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and utilize scientific/statistical methods for problem solving
  • Demonstrated proficiency working with Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to review data
  • Fine motor skills and attention to detail
  • Multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work as a team and independently
