Position Summary
The Sun Lab in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) is seeking motivated postdoctoral research associate with background in chemistry, nanomedicine, gene/drug delivery or cancer therapy. We are dedicated to designing and developing nanocarriers for the effective delivery of small molecule drugs and/or therapeutic genes (such as siRNA, plasmids, mRNA) for the treatment of cancer and other diseases; developing new strategies to overcome major clinical translation barriers in nanomedicine; and exploring the potential mechanisms using bioinformatics and molecular biology methods. The candidate will be responsible for using chemical tools to develop new nanocarriers with low toxicity and high delivery efficacy, and tackle the problems in the treatment of cancer.
