Chemical Technician
Location: Rotational - Multiple Operating Regions
Schedule: 28 Days On / 14 Days Off, including evenings, holidays, and weekends
Travel: 100%
Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
Pay:
Chemical Technician - $24.00/hour
Chemical Technician 1 - $26.00/hour
Chemical Technician 2 - $29.00/hour
Level and compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and demonstrated skills.
Position Overview
The Chemical Technician at Deep Well Services is responsible for supporting chemical operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of chemical systems and related oilfield service equipment.
This position performs both shop and field work, including chemical handling, system monitoring, equipment maintenance, and operational support across multiple service lines.
This role is best suited for individuals with 1-5 years of experience in chemical operations, oil and gas, or a related industrial environment. Experience with fluid systems, chemical handling, oilfield operations, industrial equipment, or related mechanical systems is strongly preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with chemical mixing, handling, and transfer operations in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Monitor chemical systems and equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on chemical equipment and systems.
  • Troubleshoot chemical processes, systems, and related field equipment.
  • Support field operations by preparing and delivering chemicals to job sites as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to chemical usage, inventory, maintenance, and service activities.
  • Follow applicable environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Operate company vehicles and equipment in support of field service operations.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized shop and field work areas.
  • Assist with mentoring entry-level technicians when applicable.
  • Follow all Deep Well Services safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in on-call assignments as operationally required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • 1-5+ years of experience in chemical operations, oilfield services, or a related industry preferred.
  • Experience with fluid systems, chemical handling, industrial equipment, or oilfield operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and operational issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule, including nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record and ability to meet company driving requirements.
  • Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening, including a background check, physical, and drug screen.
Work Location & Travel
This position follows a 28 days on / 14 days off rotational schedule and requires 100% travel.
Work assignments may occur across multiple Deep Well Services operating regions, including:
  • Zelienople, Pennsylvania
  • Williston, North Dakota
  • Kilgore, Texas
  • Midland, Texas
  • Other operational basins as business needs require

All new-hire training will be based in Zelienople, PA.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment physical.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to regularly lift tools, components, chemicals, and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in both shop and field environments.
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather and environmental conditions.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties during days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the rotational schedule.
