Job Title: Sr. Chemical Process Engineer

Our team of innovative engineers and scientists is committed to pushing the boundaries of what's possible in rocket propulsion. As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a talented and driven Sr. Chemical Process Engineer to join our team in Luling, TX.
What You Will Do:
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operation of energetic chemical manufacturing processes
  • Work directly with operators to ensure that energetic materials are made safely and according to key process and product characteristics
  • Monitors systems in the chemical manufacturing process for compliance with environmental regulations
  • Provides onsite direct technical support to operators regarding the key characteristics,
  • Work closely with operators to seek comments on the efficiency of operations for process unit operation
  • Troubleshoots processes in a production facility to keep a process running efficiently
  • Conducts safety analyses of new and existing equipment
  • Assists in equipment testing, operator training, and plant start-up, shutdown, and maintenance activities
  • Assists as unit operations subject matter expert during emergency and abnormal operations
  • Assists with design work for capital improvement projects.
  • Assist in generating P&ID schematics
  • Optimize workflows by creating procedures and process flow documentation
  • Maintain safety and environmental standards
  • Develop methods to minimize by-products and waste materials in environmentally responsible manner
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements: throughput, safety, waste streams, etc.
  • Assist in the establishment of timelines and budgets
  • Identify and coordinate contractors/vendors to design machinery and other equipment to optimize work processes

Must Have:
  • 5+ years directly related industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with Data/Automation/Controls engineers
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary teams of ~5 engineers
  • Experience with process simulation software and data analysis tools
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Must be a US Persons as defined by § 120.62 of the ITAR
